Recommendation

I wouldn`t recommend this book, because it`s too short for a good book and it`s a little bit crazy......
Alex falls in love with a girl and........ whoop! They kiss themselves! That`s too fast and in the whole happens SO much.
And it`s crushed on 57 sites! That`s not so good I think..... Of course, the book has also his "good sites," perhaps the chapter seven. But you must watch this book on different hands. For a SCHOOLBOOK it`s actually good! But for a "RIGHT" book it`s not good, too short and too crushed.......
That`s my opinion......;)

Chapter Nine, Ten

My Prediction Evidence from Chapter 9, 10
-band stops playing -band stops playing for a short time
-Alex leaves the band -Alex doesn`t leave the band
-Alex goes home -Alex doesn`t go home
-band`s songs decreases -band`s songs decreases! The people aren`t interested in the songs anymore.....
-Alex and Dani -> disagree -Sometimes Alex and Dani disagree
-Dani leaves Alex for Pete/ Joe -Dani doesn`t leave Alex :)
-Dani is pregnant -Dani is NOT pregnant! o.O
-Alex and Tom -> disagree -All is fine between Alex and Tom

In Chapter nine and ten, the band "Beat Crew" really goes down. The songs are not good enough, the bandmembers Joe and Pete are boozing and hang around with "skinheads." At the gig in the "Astoria," the audience flips out, because of Joe, who had tattooed on his arm and is so a racist. They threw metal and glass bottles on them and so they can`t go on playing.
The "Beat Crew" says that they will never play with Joe again and they change their name into "the dolphins."
At the end Alex writes in his diary the whole year and what happened.

The eighth Chapter

In this chapter, Alex and Dani are on cloud nine. They are in love, they have "non-stop bookings" and all is fine.
Probably they thought that it stays so, but then they experience the great disappointment.
This chapter is all about the succes of the band Alex` and Danis love and......the cogitation about the live.
At the end they understand that it wouldn`t be so good anytime. They see thirteen dolphins and that is for bad luck!
And really after this it goes down to the earth.......

Chapter Seven

In my opinion is chapter seven the best chapter, because it describes the relationship between Tom and Alex.
It`s very funny, too I think. The shark which is a "basker" and Alex is so afraid of it.
Alex realizes that Tom is a nice person with character and he likes him more and more......
They talk about the thing, which burns Alex on heart since he saw Tom the first time. And in the end, Alex writes in his diary that it was a wonderful day, he likes the time together with his father but he miss Dani........
What`s your opinion about Tom? Is he really so nice like he looks? ;)

The sixth chapter

In the 6th chapter it is really important that the relationship between father and son is becoming better. In the club Alex and Tom speak about all what was important for Alex and he asks the questions, which he wants to tell Tom for 16 years......and Tom explains why he never noticed Alex` birthday and christmas.
In my opinion Alex is too soft with his father, because he had an excuse for the things he had done.
And these things were not good! I think it isn`t nice what he`d done in the past.
Tom appears to be sorry in every way, but that`s not really believable.......
Your opinion to this reaction?

The fifth chapter

The fifth chapter is too hard and violent, because their is written about a cow, that has been hit by the Beat Crew and "the windscreen was splashed with blood," and that was not very nice to read.....
And also this, that the cow had a calf and that`s sad, because the calf had no mother anymore.
I can really felt with Dani, when I read this and I think it wasn`t nice to leave the calf alone.....What`s your opinion?
Alex saw his father in the club "Sabrina`s" in the audience and that was probably bad for him.
Because after 16 years he didn`t saw his father that will be a shocking experience!
What do you think about Alex` feelings in this situation?

Fourth Chapter

Dani and Alex have their first disagreement at the beach, where are a lot of penguins on their daily fishing trip.
So much people are watching at this animals, which take fish to their babies in the digged holes in the sand dunes on the Summerland Beach.
Alex thinks that the penguins it wouldn`t certainly want, when hundreds of people were looking at them and stare.
Dani likes this and finds it "cute."
I think Alex likes animals and doesn`t likes when they were looked by more than hundred people. In my opinion is that good, because I wouldn`t feel good, too when I was stared by so much people. Alex knows that the penguins must feel so and then he is very caring and pity them.....
I think Alex` decision is good, because I think so too...

Second Chapter

The second chapter was a bit confusing to me, because there was all at once very much things! First is that Alex arrived in Australia and his father Tom is not there, he is in London. (very strange!)
Then he met the children of his father and Dani. A new experience!
And I think Dani is a nice girl, but I found curious that she invites him already now to join the band.
In my opinion, Alex is also a bit braggy, because he says that he can play the guitar better than the man at the concert.....
What I do not understood is why Alex said to Dani that his family name is Conell, but his name was however Reid.....?

First Chapter

My first impression of this book, was actual quite good. I think Alex is a nice boy ;) and the story looks collective interesting on me. But in my opinion is the apportionment not so good, already on the beginning Alex knows that that he would go to Australia, thats not so exciting......
I like the part where is written that Tom would "pick him up" at the airport, because thats funny and nice of him. :)
Altogether I found the text easy and good to read, I understood actual anything.
The book is certainly cool!!!
